Krunikan Leima‘s entrepreuner, Ilari Musta used to work in Finnish Media for over 10 years, before starting his tattoo career. One of his jobs got him a seat in the board of directors in a Scandinavian Media Company called Talentum. As the company’s design director, he redesigned Finnish magazines such as Talouselämä, Arvopaperi and Mikrobitti. Along with publication design, he has done number of illustrations for magazines, album covers and books.
In his illustrations and tattoos, he mixes the northern mythology with nature, comics, movies etc, but the focus is always on the storytelling. He got his education from Estonian Academy of Arts and his illustration style has been more or less the same for twenty years now and categorizing the style is not an easy task, but he calls his style “semirealistic neotraditionalism”. Ilari’s tattoos and art have been published in number of international art books and he has been awarded in tattoo contests in Finland and abroad.
Now however he is focusing more in flower tattoos.
He has completed the latest hygiene course organized by Finnish Tattoo Artist Association in January 2014 and he also has the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Certificate completed in semptember 2016.
